Companion Animal Connection - Waleska Pet Shelter

Companion Animal Connection

Founded in 2000, our focus was education thru Bear's World, Inc., a non-profit pet safety program for Pre-K thru 5th grade school children. From 2000 thru 2009 our dog 'Bear' traveled Florida, Georgia and Tennessee teaching Dog Bite Prevention, Proper Animal Guardianship and the benefits of adopting a companion animal from a Shelter...after all that's where Bear came from. After bringing this innovative program to more than 240,000 school children, Bear RETIRED ! We created 'Companion Animal Connection' in 2005 to assist families looking for the perfect companion animal. We have successfully found Loving Forever Families for more than 2,200 dogs and cats! We are the Rescue Group that is called by County Shelters for all those adorable small dogs that are in need of a little TLC, a Dental Cleaning, Heartworm Treatment, surgery or X Rays, And there's no shortage of dogs that need help with social skills and pack manners...we have a great 'pack' that works wonders! We're an all volunteer organization dedicated to finding Loving Homes for Abused & Abandoned Animals. Donations and Volunteers are always needed and greatly appreciated!
