We are a small group of animal advocates who are working for the betterment of animals in the Warren-Washington-Saratoga counties of upstate New York. We work with local communities to find solutions to overpopulation and assist in the re-homing of pets. CAAP is not a shelter, nor do we focus on the intake of animals. Our focus is on working with people in our communities to find solutions to animal overpopulation, and to assist in the the re-homing of animals. CAAP has several goals. The first goal is the development of an income-qualified, low-cost spay/neuter program and being able to underwrite these services for those most needy, based on the availability of funds. Our other goals are as follows: Serving as a community resource to aid in recognizing and reporting animal cruelty; Supporting community members involved in the rescue of homeless animals; Providing public education on issues affecting animals; and Promoting laws that positively affect animals.
