The LaGrange Police Department’s Animal Control section is made up of four members. Animal Control falls under the responsibility of the Patrol Division’s Division Commander. Their responsibilities include maintaining the local Animal Shelter as well as for the care of the animals that are brought into the shelter. Additionally, they respond to citizen complaints regarding animals running at large, dog bites, etc. Animal Control is located at 1390 Orchard Hill Road and they work hand in hand with the LaGrange-Troup Humane Society to find adequate housing for all of the animals that are brought into the shelter.
