Chesapeake Bay Retriever Relief & Rescue is a nationwide, 501(c)3 non profit and an all volunteer rescue organization. We rescue Chesapeake Bay Retrievers, we evaluate and treat the dogs for medical conditions, provide fostering and socializing the dogs until they are adopted into thoroughly vetted homes.
Application - Please complete our online adoption application to be considered for a rescue chessie. Submission of an application & fee is not a guarantee of getting a CBRR&R dog. Home & Vet Check - When you are being considered for a dog, a volunteer will contact you. We'll likely schedule a home visit & perform a veterinarian reference check. Selection - Our approval process helps guide us in finding the appropriate home for each dog. If you’re a good match to adopt a particular CBRR&R dog, we will approve your application. Contract - When you are finally matched and ready to adopt, the adoption will be completed by a volunteer. We will present you with an Adoption Contract and the adoption fee will then be due at the same time.
