We are a volunteer based non-profit 501(c)3 organization that rescues animals in the Tallahassee & Crawfordville Florida areas. We are a no-kill rescue that serves as the main exposure point for animals in the Wakulla County Animal Control Shelter of Crawfordville, FL. These animals are courtesy posted and are not in our care, unless specifically listed as a foster. We do not have a physical facility and rely solely on foster homes. Since established in 2007, CCAR has helped hundreds of cats, dogs and horses. We seek permanent, safe, and happy homes for all our adoptable animals. We aim to ensure no adoptable pet is euthanized for lack of a home. We have fosters and volunteers in Tallahassee as well as surrounding cities. Since many of the animals come to us in very poor condition we provide whatever veterinary care is needed. Then, we give them much-needed TLC before they are ready for adoption. Every time an animal is adopted, it opens up lifesaving space for another.
