Catmandu is a cage-free facility: the cats go where they want in the 3900 sf building, catios, barn and fenced back yard. Although we usually have several highly adoptable cats, we are also a sanctuary. Many of our cats are either older (8 and up) or shy with people they do not know. While many are wonderful cats that can become fabulous companions and housecats, they require more time and patient work to gain their trust and help them adjust to a new environment. We use homeopathy for much of our basic health care, but also use a vet when necessary. Dr. Sean Peck of All Creatures Mobile Vet does a fabulous job when one of our kitties needs testing, surgery or regular vet care. Come by Catmandu Friday through Sunday to meet the kitties and talk with an adoption specialist. Adoption hours are 11 am to 4 pm. Plan to arrive no later than 3 pm so you have plenty of time to spend with the cats before adoptions close at 4. If there's a good match, you fill out an adoption form and take your kitty home that day. Please bring a carrier in case you find your purrfect friend.
