Cat Tails And More, Inc. - Fort Myers Pet Shelter

Cat Tails And More, Inc.

Cat Tails and More is a non-profit, 501(c)3 rescue group. We assist dogs and cats in finding new permanent homes. Most of our adoptable animals have neglect and/or abuse in their pasts and need stable, loving homes to erase all the bad things they have been through. Our Cats and kittens can be found in Pet Smart and Pet Supermarket and cared for under the watchful eyes of our Directors and Volunteers. Our dogs and puppies are all kept in foster homes so appointments may be necessary to meet them. We cannot guarantee the breed of any dog or cat and our descriptions of the type of animal are based solely on looks alone.

Adoption Process

Our rescued animals are all eager to find their new homes. When you find an animal that you would like to adopt, either on our website, Facebook page or adoption event we ask you to fill out and application so that we can get to know you. We want to find the best possible homes for our dogs and cats so certain requirements must be met in order for the adoption to be approved: You must be 21 years old or older to adopt. We look for stable homes for all animals which means that we will call to verify veterinary references and possibly require additional documentation from landlords and/or HOA’s. Our adoption fees vary due each dogs or cats specific needs (as with most non-profit rescues we rely on donations and the adoption fees we collect).
