Adoption Process

To adopt a cat or kitten please e-mail us at cashelterfriends@yahoo.com to make sure the cat or kitten you are interested in is still available and to schedule a time to come and visit the animal you are interested in. Most weeks we hold cat and kitten adoption/get acquainted sessions on two weekday evenings from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm and one weekend day at our adoption facility in Woodland. We do dog and puppy adoptions by appointment only and only after receiving and approving a completed adoption application. Once we have approved your adoption application we will contact you to schedule a time for you to come and meet the dog(s) or puppy(ies) you are interested in. Most weeks we have adoption appointments available on one or two weekdays in the evening and on one weekend day. Please be aware that you should be ready to adopt the dog or puppy at the time you submit your application. Most dogs/puppies are adopted within 1-2 weeks of being posted on our site as available for adoption. If you are not yet ready to adopt an animal please wait and check our site for currently available animals when you are ready to adopt. For more information e-mail us at cashelterfriends@yahoo.com.

I also occasionally rescue a dog who turns out to be a Giant Schnauzer or some other breed that gets confused with Bouvier. And once in a while I succumb to temptation to take a dog not remotely a Bouv because there is so
