Butte County Animal Control - Oroville Pet Shelter

The mission of Butte County Animal Control (BCAC) is to protect, promote and enhance the health, safety and quality of life for the County's animals and citizens. We do this through education, community collaboration and the enforcement of animal related laws and ordinances. BCAC is closed weekends and holidays, however you can leave a message after-hours in the case of an emergency. Officers are on call to respond to emergency calls only from 8:00am to 4:00 pm on these days.

  • It was the worst experience I ever had with an adoption,& all I have ever done is rescued dog's, my sweet little putty is not the problem nor was the nice guy that helped showed her to me after I was promised a bluenose male for literally 4 weeks excuse after excuse then when I went in there the front desk tells me with no explanation that "Oh he was put down 3 weeks ago without skipping a beat when I kept being told b.s.no eye contact sorry Mama kiss my ***,so pickout my SweetiePettie without "ZERO" shots absolutely nothing done not even fixed chipped.$600 later out of my pocket good to go NEVER again, NOW YOLO county AMAZING FREE adoption clean love there fur babies all caught up on everything just ask for loving homes adopted from there 2 times recommend to genuine loving dog owners woodland is not to far if you love fur babies big or small feel like you pay their rent drive their car etc. Those animals deserve better Oroville Shelter is a joke that smile at the front desk and the so call Vet it's all a front for $$$.
