Buddies Place Cat Rescue (BPCR) was founded in 2009 by our President, Virginia Hill, to serve the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex. We are a small 501(c)3 non-profit organization run by caring volunteers whose goal it is to help raise awareness and educate our community, so that ALL animals may live in a world without hunger, homelessness, fear, or pain. BPCR rescues cats & kittens who are facing euthanasia, or those that are homeless, abandoned, neglected, unwanted, or injured. All cats & kittens who enter the BPCR program are provided with immediate medical care, tested for FeLV and FIV, spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and given safe shelter until they can be placed in a forever home or sanctuary. BPCR also participates in making the community aware of the need for trap, spay/neuter, release programs (TNR) and to educate in order to help reduce and control the feral cat population in Parker and Tarrant Counties. All cats we trap are spayed/neutered and vaccinated BEFORE being released back into their colony or an alternative placement is found for them. Buddies Place Cat Rescue wishes to thank all of the veterinarians and staff of VCA Mercedes Place Animal Hospital, for all the long hours, care, concern and understanding they give to our rescues and to us. They are a fine group of people, who have assisted us for many years. A special thank you to Dr. Robert Bearden. You are the best.
