We all really love dogs and all animals. Well, we don’t all love snakes. We love our life on Brown Dog Farm and we feel so lucky that we have the opportunity to help animals and build this life with them. There are tremendous highs and gut wrenching lows in rescue. There are late nights and days we are sure the smell of puppy poop will never come out of our clothes and hair, but there is joy and so much hope in rescue. It is a real privilege to be able to make a difference in the lives of animals. We are volunteers, we are friends and we are trying to make this worked a happier place, one dog at a time.

If you see a dog you are interested in adopting research the breed when possible and make sure that the energy level, temperament and allergens are taken into consideration. 2. Complete the Adoption Application. 3. Download, complete and return the application. A couple of things about this, incomplete applications are not checked. If you do not give your vet permission to speak with us when we call they often will not. We do not have the time to make multiple phone calls to the vet’s office so do this before you send the application. Include all of the information you feel will help us make a great match. Do you have an active lifestyle? Are you looking for a low energy companion? Do you have specific breed experience? 4. Please be patient. We try to get back to everyone that submits an application within 48 hours. We can not return all of the email requests for information.
