Founded in 2007, Brother Wolf Animal Rescue enhances the lives of companion animals and the people who love them. We work across county lines with the goal of saving the greatest number of lives possible through strategic, creative, and impactful programming. Through adoption and pet retention programs, a low-cost mobile spay and neuter clinic, lifesaving shelter transfer partnerships, extensive volunteer and foster networks, and a trap-neuter-return program for community cats, Brother Wolf Animal Rescue impacts the lives of thousands of animals each year in the Western North Carolina region. We operate an adoption center in the heart of Asheville where you can meet your next best friend. On our campus you’ll also find our thrift store and retail store whose proceeds help fund our lifesaving programs. We are a community-based organization and rely on the generosity of our donors to continue our impactful work for animals as we receive no government funding. We know that together we can create a kinder world. Join us!
To Adopt a Dog: Interested dog adopters are encouraged to complete a dog adoption application prior to visiting in person to make the process as smooth as possible. Dog adoptions currently operate on an appointment basis. Once you submit your online application, our team will reach out to you to schedule a dog adoption appointment. Walk-ins for dog adoptions are accommodated as available during open hours. During your dog adoption appointment, an adoption counselor will spend time talking with you about the kind of dog you’re looking for and will introduce you to dogs at our Adoption Center. To Adopt a Cat: Interested cat adopters are encouraged to complete a cat adoption application prior to visiting in person to make the process as smooth as possible, though applications can also be completed in person at our Adoption Center. Visitors can meet available cats in our lobby area during open hours. Please note that lobby capacity is capped at a max of 6 visitors at this time. During your visit, an adoption counselor will spend time talking with you about the kind of cat you’re looking for and will introduce you to cats at our Adoption Center.

We are completely run by volunteers. Our foster parents are the best and none of our efforts would be possible without them. Over the last 4 years 500+ babies have been saved from a kill shelter, vetted and given complete care for any health issues, transported from shelters to fosters to Veterinarian services, and finally adopted to their "forever family".
