BlueGrass Boxer Rescue, Inc. is a 501(c)3 organization that provides charitable and educational services in the form of: quality shelter and care to unwanted, neglected and/or abused Boxers. We operate solely out of foster homes and care for Boxers until proper, permanent homes can be found. We will assist potential and current Boxer owners by sharing information about breed characteristics, proper care, health issues, training and behavior issues. We serve the entire state of Kentucky and surrounding states. Out of area adoptions will be considered on a case by case basis and with the collaboration of rescues local to the applicants.
1. Fill out the on-line application Inquiry Form. 2. Next, you will be contacted by a BlueGrass Boxer Rescue representative to discuss your inquiry form. A volunteer will contact you as quickly as possible. Please understand our volunteers have full time jobs, families, and other commitments in addition to their rescue responsibilities. Your patience and understanding is greatly appreciated. Please be prepared to answer a few more questions for us to complete the original application and to insure the boxer you are interested in will fit perfectly into your home and lifestyle. We may discuss an alternate boxer that will fit better into your home. 3. After the initial contact and you are approved to move forward in the application process, you will be contacted by the home visit coordinator to set up the time and date of your home visit. All members must be present for the home visit. If the boxer you are interested in is within traveling distance from the foster home, the said boxer will accompany volunteer to your home. If home visit is approved by the volunteer you now move to the next step. 4. Adoption Day!! The happiest day of all.
