The organization was started in 1999 by four women who had volunteered at a local shelter. What they witnessed was animals being constantly overlooked because they were older or had some type of disability or illness. They took the cats and dogs home, and realized their calling was to provide a safe and loving home for animals that society deemed "unadoptable". Because we're a 100% volunteer organization, all funds raised go directly to the animals in need. We have no formal shelter; instead, everyone is in someone's home, learning to trust again and to thrive in a home environment.
