Atlantic Rottweiler Rescue And Friends - Mooresville Pet Shelter

Atlantic Rottweiler Rescue And Friends

We are a small all-volunteer rescue organization with seasoned rescuers who have been rescuing and placing dogs for many years. Our mission is is to rescue, rehabilitate, and re-home abandoned, stray and neglected dogs. ARRF does not have a shelter and depends on the generosity of our foster homes who open their homes and hearts to our dogs. All of our dogs are evaluated for temperament and personality which helps to place them in the homes that are best suited for their needs and the needs of their future owners. Our volunteers receive no pay and all money given to and raised by ARRF through donations, adoptions, events, and fundraisers goes directly to benefit our rescued dogs. We work closely with other rescue groups and animal shelters to find you your next furry friend.

Adoption Process

Step 1 : Fill out an Adoption Application! If you are unable to access the online form, please email [email protected] for an application and alternate instructions on submission. Once you have completed the application, submit the online form. Incomplete Applications WILL NOT BE PROCESSED. Step 2 : ARRF will review your application and verify the information provided. This includes property/landlord verification and reference checks. This can take a week or longer depending on how quickly we receive responses. Step 3 : ARRF will contact you regarding your application, along with a telephone/in person interview. This allows us to get to know you, and to answer questions you may have for us. We do not set an appointment with you for a home visit but we do check on your property to insure it is a suitable environment for the dog you have chosen. Step 4 : ARRF will complete a review of all findings and contact you with a final decision. Upon approval, ARRF will arrange for your new family member to come home. We are dedicated to saving as many lives as we can and understand that the faster this process is completed, the faster we can take in another dog. Please be sure to provide us complete, detailed information and all contact information to minimize delays. Please keep in mind that we have a limited number of foster homes. This is the largest reason we can't save more dogs. If you do not adopt from us, please consider your local shelter and/or consider becoming a foster home so that more dogs can be saved.
