Animal Lovers Inc. is a 501c3 nonprofit organization designed to assist local low income households with the cost of spaying or neutering their pets. Pet overpopulation is a chronic problem in our area and our belief is by addressing this problem before an animal reproduces will reduce and eventually eliminate the suffering of many unwanted animals. Many people are responsible pet owners with good intentions to spay or neuter their pet, but cannot financially accomplish this goal on their own. The medical procedure to alter these pets has become very expensive. Animal Lovers Inc. assists these people by paying a portion or all of this expense. We feel it is better to help at this stage than to allow more unwanted animals start a new cycle. Animal Lovers Inc. also assists people with the cost of spaying or neutering feral and multiple animal households. People are often referred to us by veterinarians, shelters, animal control and word of mouth. We educate and advertise through our local fundraisers and are regularly seen at local events within the community. Our organization serves all of Berrien County in southwestern Michigan.
