We are a 501c3 facility and operate under the City of Andalusia, police dept. We do not receive much money/support so the help of citizens is a must for us to be able to continue doing what is best and productive for all involved. We ask for donations of various types of items and of coarse any monetary donations that you can make. We strive to educate the public on responsible pet ownership and spaying/neutering is a must. All pets are spayed or neutered upon adoption from our facility.
If interested in adopting please contact kayla.cleland@andalusiapolice.com or corey.sowell@andalusiapolice.com can also call 334-222-8705. Adoption is $40.00. The spay/neuter cost depends on the vet you choose

Founded in April 1986 as PAWS (Public Animal Welfare Society), the organization changed its name to the Andalusia Area Humane Society (AAHS) in August 1987. AAHS is a 501(c)(3) non-profit all-volunteer humane society. Our funding comes from your tax-deductible contributions, fundraising events and all funds are used in Covington County to benefit ‘at risk’ pets.
