Allies For Greyhounds, Inc. - Grandville Pet Shelter

Allies For Greyhounds, Inc.

Allies for Greyhounds of West Michigan, Inc. was founded on October 27, 2006. Since then we have placed over 1100 retired racing greyhounds into loving forever homes. As our group grew and we began placing greyhounds into neighboring Indiana. We discovered that we were much larger than West Michigan. In the Spring of 2013, we received approval to formally change our name to Allies for Greyhounds, Inc. We are the same all volunteer family oriented group that we were, but our change in name reflects how large our family has become.

Adoption Process

Start the process today by filling out this adoption application. Only one application is needed. You do not need to fill out multiple applications for each of the greyhounds you might be interested in. We ask that you please fill out all fields completely. We cannot accept an adoption application from families that have a child(ren) under the age of 6 years old that live in their home. All of the child(ren) must be 6 years old or older to be eligible to adopt a retired racing greyhound through Allies for Greyhounds. Our volunteers will then review your application and get in touch with you as soon as possible. It can often take our volunteers around 2 weeks to check references and process an application. Check your spam folder after application submission, just to make sure an important email from us did not go in there. If you have not received a response from Allies in over 2 weeks please contact us to check on your application submission.
