Allie & Pals Rescue is a volunteer and foster home based all-breed dog rescue, located in Buffalo, NY. We are not a shelter, so every dog that we bring into our rescue goes into a loving foster home until they find their furever families. We make it our goal to help dogs in our local community as well as transport dogs from high kill shelters nationally.
Veterinary Reference: A volunteer will call your Veterinarian and check the medical records of your pets over the last 5 years. Dogs MUST be spayed/neutered and on their current rabies, distemper/parvo. Please make sure you call the veterinary office prior to filling out an application and give them permission to speak with Allie & Pals Rescue. If current animals are not spayed/neutered and vaccinated, the application will be denied unless there is a valid medical reason determined by your Veterinarian. If this is your first dog we recommend finding a vet BEFORE applying and stating first time pet owner on application. Personal References: A volunteer will call the personal references that you supplied in your adoption application. Please ask their permission ahead of time and inform them that Allie & Pals Rescue will be calling. Landlord Approval: If renting, before applying for a dog, please discuss requirements and restrictions with your landlord. A volunteer will be calling to verify the information and determine if the dog you're interested in is a good fit. MUST BE 21 YEARS AND OLDER TO ADOPT. After your application has been reviewed and references have been called, a volunteer will call you to arrange a home visit. The home check will NOT involve a dog, but is rather a time to meet with a volunteer and get to know the rescue better. You will be able to ask any and all questions about the adoption process during this time. Please make sure all members of the household are present during the visit. We look forward to getting to know you!
