All Aboard Animal Rescue’s mission is to enhance the quality of life for both pets and people through the process of matching adoptable animals with their forever homes. We never discriminate who can ride this train. Our team of staff, volunteers, and fosters work hard to ensure every dog receives all the necessary care and love they need to live a happy life. No animal shall be rejected a chance at finding their forever home due to high medical expense, age, size, breed, perceived temperament, lack of space, or too much time spent in a shelter.
Step One: Understand Your Obligation to Your New Dog. Read an overview of our adoption agreement. You will be required to sign an adoption contract before taking your new dog home. Make sure you understand what adopting a rescue dog means to your family, and to the dog you are taking home. Step Two: Apply and Become an Approved Adopter. Complete your online application. We will always confirm pet policies with landlords and spay/neuter/vaccination status of pets with your veterinarian. To improve your chances of approval, and to speed up the approval process, if you are not certain that your pets vaccinations are up to date, or don’t know your landlord’s pet policy, contact your veterinarian and landlord prior to completing your application. We do our absolute best to respond to applications received within one business day. Step Three: Find Your New Pooch. Once you’ve received adoption approval from All Aboard Animal Rescue, check our website for adoptable dogs. The website will be up to date every Monday evening. New dogs may be added between Tuesday morning and Friday. Our adoption events are held on Saturday, so if you are looking for a dog on Saturday or Sunday, you may see dogs on the website that were already adopted. Your chance of finding the right dog to add to your family will be best if you check the website daily, Monday-through-Friday, AFTER your application has been approved. Step Four: Finalize Your Adoption and Bring Your New Dog Home. If you find a dog online that you fall in love with, you can place a hold on that dog that will ensure that it is available at the Saturday adoption event. We’ll hold the dog for you for the first hour of the event. Please be aware that deposits are nonrefundable. You may, apply your deposit to a different dog. Step Four: Come to our Saturday adoption event. When: Saturdays, 10-1. If you want to adopt a puppy, please arrive early. Puppies are popular. If you have placed a hold on a dog, arrive by 10:45. We can only hold your dog for the first hour of the event. Everyone else, please arrive by 12:30 so you’ll have time to complete adoption paperwork. Our foster families arrive to take their dogs home at 1:00. Where: Petco, 2211 S College Ave, Fort Collins, CO 80525
