Alamo City House Rabbits was formed in October 2015 as a Facebook group to foster social contacts and education among house rabbit owners in the San Antonio and greater Bexar County, Texas area. We hold bi-monthly education and adoption events at Pet Supplies Plus locations around town, rabbit play dates called Hoppy Hours at the San Antonio Humane Society, and we participate in volunteer work at other rabbit rescues. Since we are a new and growing group we have a limited capacity to foster or rescue rabbits, depending on the availability of space with our volunteer fosterers. We do not rehome unwanted pets. We are work with local Animal Care Services of San Antonio in an effort to help with the placement of rescue rabbits. We continue to grow and expand our group’s local presence through the promotion of rabbits as indoor human companions that must be spayed or neutered and afforded regular veterinary care and an enriched environment. We fully support the principles of the House Rabbit Society.
