Adams County Humane Society is a private non-profit 501c3 organization run 100% on donations, adoptions, services and fundraisers. Our animals come in from owner surrenders throughout the state, overcrowded facilities and as strays. We do not euthanize animals for length of time or space at the Humane Society. We are proud to report that in 2019, our euthanasia rate was 3%, in 2020 it was 1.1%, in 2021 it was 0.4% one of the lowest in the state!
