A Pawsitive Approach - Anaheim Pet Shelter

A Pawsitive Approach

This organization is the product of the hard work and dedication of a group of individuals united by our love for animals and the belief that we can and should do something to improve their treatment in the world. In Southern California, countless dogs, cats and other animals end up in shelters or out on the streets daily. They are abandoned or discarded for any number of reasons, but the volunteers of A Pawsitive Approach believe that this can and must change! We would love to have you join our team! All charitable organizations are dependent upon the kindness and generosity of their friends. A Pawsitive Approach is no exception. APA is a federal nonprofit 501(c)3 which means that your donations are all tax deductible!

Adoption Process

The animals that we have taken into the APA rescue program are very important to us. It is our intention to find each of them a permanent home. For that reason, we thoroughly screen each prospective adopter to determine whether or not it will be an appropriate fit for both people and pets. Our adoption process includes an application, a telephone interview with an APA representative, a check of veterinary references, and a home visit by an APA representative and the animal you are interested in adopting. The process also includes an adoption donation to help defray the cost of the care that APA has provided that animal prior to its adoption. We are committed to helping as many homeless animals as we can, to find appropriate, permanent homes and that simply requires some money to be spent. All funds collected, whether through adoptions or general donations, go back into furthering the goals expressed in our mission statement!
