It all started when Brian Gillette wanted "a dog". You see, I never had a dog before! I didn't even like dogs!! My daughter, Brittany, found a dog on Craigslist. A local dog groomer had a client who had a litter of pups. I scheduled and cancelled 2 appointments. The third appointment, I was an hour and a half late, because I didn't want a dog! I sat down and 3 little pups were crawling all over me. After 30 minutes we decided to leave. As soon as we got to the car, I knew I had to go back and get our boy. After having Bandit for only 6 months, we decided to get Bandit a sister. I went to Craigslist, again and there she was, being given away at 6 weeks old. I didn't realize 6 weeks was too young to be taken from her mother. You must remember; I was only a dog mom for 4 months. We named her Victoria, Queen Victoria. Being a new dog mom, I had to go check out all the local dog events. We went to the Pet Expo in Allentown, PA and I learned about the rescue community. My eyes were open wide. One year after adding Victoria, we rescued Princess on July 4, 2017. Princess was a puppy mill dog. She was used for breeding Pomskies. The mill was going to euthanize her because she was a 5-year-old who couldn't produce babies. We had to save her! We then decided to start our own rescue. We came up with the name 3 Husketeers Rescue because we have 3 huskies and they're the ones rescuing the new pack members. Huskies are pack dogs. We bring the pups into our house and our pack is doing all the work. Huskies speak the same language. This is why, we’re a breed specific rescue, and I am the Pack Leader because I am a "Human Husky".
