Purrfect Fit Cat Rescue was established in 2008 when the founder read of the cat problem at Swan Lake Mobile Home Park in Mira Loma. Animal Control had been called out to trap and euthanize the cats in the park. Unable to stand by and watch, we began a TNR program out there amid much disention from park management. Tenacity won out and we have handled over 500 cats during the past 2 years. All the cats have been spayed or neutered, returned and are being fed by caregivers at the park, others have been adopted out, and some are still with us waiting for their forever home. Most of our kitties were abandoned pets from the mobile home park. They were left behind as the owners moved. They do not understand what happened and many go from front door to back door looking for their owners. It is a sad situation. They are completely domesticated and have no way to obtain food or water without human assistance. With donations, we have been supplying food and medical to several colonies of kitties at the park. We are grateful to our supporters.
Fill out our preliminary adoption questionnaire. Their staff needs to know a little bit about your ability to adopt a cat, such as if can you provide a good home with proper care. They may have questions concerning whether you have children, anyone with allergies, where your cat will sleep and eat, and if they will be an indoor or outdoor cat. Purrfect Fit Cat Rescue staff want to match you with an adoptive cat that is a "good fit" for your family. Prepare your home for the arrival of your newly adopted cat. This would be a good opportunity for you to make sure you have everything you will need for the arrival, such as the litter box, food, sleeping areas and maybe a few toys. Plan to spend as much time as possible with your newly adopted cat when you get home to help with the adjustment. This is a major life style change for your newly adopted cat, so be very loving and patient to help ease its nerves. It won't be too long until your adopted cat is a very important loving part of your family.
