Change Of Heart Pit Bull Rescue - Norco Pet Shelter

Change Of Heart Pit Bull Rescue

Change of Heart Pit Bull Rescue is a non-profit Organization dedicated to educating the public about this very misunderstood breed. COHPBR is run by unpaid volunteers that provide outreach all over the United States. We take in many pit bulls each year that have severe medical cases or have simply been over looked for a long period of time. COHPBR only takes in a small number of dogs to ensure they receive the qaulity care they need while they wait to be placed into a forever home. COHPBR does have a foster program which allows us to occasionally sneek in a few extra lucky pups. In addition to taking dogs in we offer assistance to people who find stray dogs in their communities. COHPBR also holds events in the community to provide low cost options to underserved communitites in our area. You can help us save lives and continue our work by making a small donation. We appreciate your support!

Adoption Process

Step 1: Fill out our adoption application. This will give us an opportunity to determine which dogs would be the perfect fit for your family and lifestyle. We are not a first come first serve adoption agency. This means we consider every applicant and choose the best applicant for the dog. We may suggest a different dog if one seems like a better fit for your family. Step 2: We will give you a call to schedule your home visit and meet-and-greet once we receive your application. We prefer to meet on neutral ground, such as a park near your home, if you have other dogs. Step 3: If everyone is head over heels we will set up a date to start your 2-week adoption trial. This is the time to make sure the adoption is a perfect fit for both dog and family. You do have the option to start right away. We will come to the meet-and-greet prepared for this as most people are very eager to start the process. We will go over paperwork at this time as well.
