Thoroughbred Athletes - Guthrie Pet Shelter

The mission of Thoroughbred Athletes, Inc. is to rehabilitate, retrain, and re-home off track Thoroughbred horses and afford community youth the opportunity to experience the process. Our work promotes growth and learning in both horses and youth. Horses recieve a solid training foundation for a second career prior to adoption into their new homes while our young volunteers learn valuable skills. Our youth program teaches a solid work ethic with an emphasis on teamwork, responsibility, confidence, and service to others. By teaching our horses a new skill set, we are able to provide them with a future after their work on the track is complete. Whether you are looking for a show horse, a pleasure riding horse or a companion; we are certain that you can find what you are looking for here at Thoroughbred Athletes, Inc. We are accredited by the Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance.

Horse and Hound Rescue Foundation is the brain child of a dedicated group of animal lovers seeking to help find forever homes for off track Thoroughbreds, however, we also acknowledge the need to place abandoned dogs, as this is a concern among all communities. We welcome any constructive input as we launch this new endeavor.

Bella SPCA is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization based in Oklahoma City created to assist low-income, elderly or terminally ill pet owners with the cost of veterinary care when it cannot be afforded and also find permanent loving homes for rescued animals. Every year thousands of animals are euthanized or die because the people who love them cannot financially absorb the cost of veterinary care.
