We are a nonprofit 501(c)3 no kill animal rescue. The Cat’s Meow was formed in 2013 to rescue abandoned, abused and stray cats.The founder has been rescuing cats for over 20 years. WE ARE NOT A SHELTER, WE DO NOT HAVE A SHELTER. We do not take in surrendered cats from private owners. We work directly with local Animal Control Officers, Veterinarian Clinics and Humane Societies to assist with their animals in need. Our goal is to become one of the most organized & respected feline organizations in New England! We are dedicated & focused on improving the lives of cats in Connecticut.
Our goal is to match the right pet with the right adopter. This means we approach each adoption opportunity in a unique way. One of our adoption specialists will meet (in person, or by phone) with you to learn about your "ideal pet." We take into consideration lifestyle, family dynamic, desired personality traits and an adopter’s overall objective in bringing a new pet into their home and make recommendations on which of our pets may be a good fit.
