The Ark Of San Juan Animal Rescue

The Ark of San Juan Companion Animal Rescue was founded in 2008 and is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, dedicated to saving the pets in, and around, our community. Through owner relinquishes, acceptance of true strays, and pulls from the local county shelter, our organization rescues and provides medical care, food, shelter, training and tender care for these pets until a loving forever home is found.

Adoption Process

The Ark requires an adoption application, an adoption contract and an adoption fee of $150 for cats 1-year-old and over and $200 for kittens under 1-year-old. At times, and for certain breeds, the adoption fee may vary. All animals are altered, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccinations before adoption. Fiv/felv testing is only done if recommended by a vet partner. The Ark requires an adoption application, a home check, an adoption contract and an adoption fee of $250 for Adult Dogs and $350 for Puppies under 1 year (adoption fees may vary for certain situations / breeds). All dogs are altered and up-to-date on vaccinations before they are adopted out.
