Second Chance Animal Rescue (SCARNY) of Levittown, New York is a 501(c)3 Charity whose mission is to rescue abandoned and abused animals and find them loving homes.
Please check with your significant other and or household members prior to completing an adoption application. Adopting a pet is a serious commitment. An Adoption Coordinator will contact you to discuss your application and also schedule a virtual home visit conducted via FaceTime or Zoom. 2 neighbor references (non-family) will be contacted. Please make sure they are expecting our call as this could delay the processing of your application. 1 Veterinarian reference will be contacted for a current and or deceased pet. Please list all pets accordingly in the application with a name. If you are pre-approved to meet the pet, a Meet and Greet will be set-up with you, your family, and any current pets likely at PetSmart in Levittown unless other arrangements are made for the meeting. Second Chance makes the final decision to determine the best fit for the pet. Additional information could be requested at any time to complete the adoption verification process. Once you submit your application, you will be asked to pay an application fee of $25 which is needed to process your application, check references and complete a home visit. This is a processing fee, not the adoption fee.
