Safe Haven’s mission is to provide a temporary haven and treatment for adoptable cats and dogs, place them in suitable homes, increase awareness of the humane treatment of animals and promote spay/neuter programs to reduce the overpopulation of cats and dogs in Jo Daviess county.
Safe Haven does not do first come, first served adoptions. We evaluate all applications that come in for each pet and then choose the home we feel that pet will be happiest and safest in. If you are interested in a particular dog or cat, please fill out our online Pre-Adoption Application. By signing this agreement, you certify that all information provided is true and that you recognize any misrepresentation may result in denial of the application. Safe Haven has the right to investigate all statements made in this application (including references, veterinary records, etc). Safe Haven has the right to accept or deny any application.
