Rusty Rover Canine Rescue is not a shelter. We are a non-profit 501(c)3 New Jersey based rescue that is a senior canine specific rescue. we rely solely on public donations and volunteers. Our mission is to rid our local shelters of adoptable senior dogs that in most cases would be overlooked by adopters due to just being senior. we belive that all life deserves respect, dignity, compassion, and most of all a second chance.
In order to adopt a pet, you must: Be 21 years of age or older; Be able to provide 2 personal references; Be able to provide veterinary reference; Be able to provide proof of residence (Own/Rent). If homeowner, proof of ownership will be required. If rental, lease or rental agreement stating pets are allowed in the residence will be required; Consent to a home visit; Agree to pay the donation.
