R&R Boxer Rescue is an all-volunteer 501 (c) (3) organization dedicated to providing a life line to dogs at imminent risk of euthanasia at one of our many high kill shelters here in Southern California. These are the seniors, the special medical needs and those that the shelter has deemed rescue only for “behavior.” The latter are most often euthanized as they are labeled dog aggressive or human aggressive. In our experience the vast majority of these dogs are either just scared in the stressful crowded kill shelter environment or have not been properly socialized with other dogs. In all cases these dogs were failed by humans on at least one level and deserve a chance to be the dog they were born to be. As the name suggests, we are primarily a Boxer rescue, but not exclusively. Our mission is simple in words, helping once forgotten dogs complete a family of their own. Just as every dog is unique, the path and process is unique for each and every one. Our commitment is to giving them the path and process they need to go on and complete a family of their very own. For some that is just some much needed Rest and Relaxation, for others it is Rescue and Rehabilitation, but at the end of the day we are here to give them their R&R.
R&R Boxer Rescue requires a completed application, application approval, meet and greet with your family, home check, and a contract to adopt one of our dogs. Once you are approved, we'll set an appointment to meet you and your family that includes any current 4-legged family member(s). Our adoption team and trainers are looking forward to introducing you to one of our spectacular furry friends. Please be advised R&R Boxer Rescue is not responsible for any accidents or injuries which may occur during your visit. Children must be kept under the control and supervision by an adult at all times. The Adoption. When a match is made, the deal will be sealed with an adoption contract. Adoption Fee $400. No Adoption Fee for Seniors. Home check and delivery of your new friend. We are sure you are a nice person and you have a perfect home awaiting the arrival of your new dog but we just want to make sure the dog will be safe and the introduction to your home is done professionally. Therefore we require a home check. Your new family member will be delivered in style by our trainers. We are always there for you. Once in awhile the new dog will fit like a glove. Sometimes it needs a little adjustment. We are always there for you and your new buddy to make the transition easy and pleasant.
