We are a Non Profit, No Kill Animal Shelter. Born in 1993. Rescued near 6,000 to date. Pet Project Inc was established in 1993 to fill a big need for the stray animals in LaSalle county. There is no county pound, so as volunteers we work tirelessly to help find homes for animals who have no other chance. Recently we have upgraded to a nicer facility, but we must generate funds for rent. All money raised goes towards our furry friends, their medical care, and to providing a roof over their heads until a new forever home is found.
Applications for adoption are required for proper placement of pets with the right guardians. You must be 21 years of age to apply for a pet. Valid drivers license and/or 2 forms of picture ID required. Two personal references are required as well as a reference from your current veterinarian. If you are a renter, we must have a reference/permit from your landlord. Some in home visits for certain pets may be required. Our fees are as follows: Dogs and Puppies - $220, Cats and Kittens - $100. The adoption fee INCLUDES: spay/neuter, microchip (dogs only), shots and testing. We cannot accept debit or credit cards.
