People Helping Paws Dog Rescue is a rescue and pet food pantry located in Jefferson City, MO. We specialize in pulling bully breeds from kill shelters in our area. We save at risk dogs that have medical issues preventing them from being adopted. We are committed to them simply because they have NO ONE. These dogs are at the shelter because they have been abandoned, lost, neglected, discarded or abused and many of them have no way out but rescue. They are without family, love or representation. We are their voice....their future. People Helping Paws Dog Rescue does not accept owner surrenders unless it is a medical or abuse situation. We do not have the resources. The dogs we rescue have no one to care for them or make decisions on their behalf. As the owner of a dog, only you can make the right choices for the health, safety and wellness of the dog for which you are responsible. Please consider all options for your pet.
Our adoption fee is $225.00 up to 1 year, $200.00 for 1 to 5 yrs old and $175.00 for 5 yrs and older This includes spayed/neutered, vaccinated, heart worm tested as appropriate for age. flea/tick preventative, heart worm preventative and micro-chipped. Almost all of our dogs require a fenced yard. This is for their safety. All dogs are INSIDE only pets. We do not adopt dogs that will be living outside on a chain, in a fenced yard or in an outdoor kennel. Our dogs are all kennel and house trained for this very reason. Please note: We reserves the right to do home visits and vet checks on all dogs adopted through our organization. Thank you for considering a rescue dog!
