Adoption Process

Visitors are by appointment only and must have application filled out first. Animals are not adopted "First come, first serve", but rather to the best application received for that particular pet. If you do not get the pet you desire, it is because the pet has needs that might not fit your environment. This is not a reflection of you personally. The pets individual needs are considered first and given top priority. Some pets may require a quiet environment, an older person, more exercise, another dog to be with or have particular quirks that make one home superior to another for that particular pet. Microchip is available for an additional one-time fee of $25 with no renewal fees due. All animals are Spayed and Neutered before adoption! All cats are tested for FLV/FIV. All dogs are tested for heartworm. Cats and dogs are given appropriate boosters and vaccinations: DHPP and rabies for dogs, FVRCP booster for cats. All animals are fed a healthy, high protein, corn-free diet, donated by Nutro pet foods. Larger dogs do not do well in an apartment environment, and will typically express stronger feelings of anxiety. We also strongly discourage anyone with a child under 5 years old from adopting a new pet of any type without proper consideration.
