NorthWoods Animal Coalition is a 501(c)3 non-profit animal advocacy group that is composed of grassroots volunteers from many parts of Northwestern Lower Michigan. NAC networks with area veterinarians and animal rescue groups, and provides many services for the Kalkaska County Animal Shelter and pet owners residing not only in Kalkaska County, but in outer-lying areas as well. NAC’s range of services include low cost and discount spay and neuter clinics, emergency veterinary medical assistance, and a pet pantry. NAC’s mission: To Promote the Humane Treatment of All Animals, and to Provide Services which will Enrich All Aspects of their Lives.
