A love for animals and a dream coming true. Love At First Mutt was founded in September of 2018 by Marina Russo. Love At First Mutt is a Los Angeles County based 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. We are an all volunteer and foster home based rescue. We are dedicated to saving homeless and abandoned dogs from the overcrowded animal shelters. Overcrowding and overpopulation in shelters leads to euthanizing millions of friendly and healthy pets every year. We want to better the lives of the animals in our community by educating the public on ways to stop animal cruelty and to promote spaying/neutering of dogs/cats to reduce pet overpopulation.
1. The first step when wanting to adopt is filling out an adoption application. 2. Once approved, we can answer any questions you may have regarding the dog. 3. We will choose an applicant whose lifestyle is most suitable for that dog and then proceed with a meet & greet. If the meet & greet goes well, you’ll be able to take your new dog home with you! We may do a homecheck the same day or at a later date. Some dogs will require a slower introduction and a longer meet and greet process.
