We are a 501c3 nonprofit rescue group of individuals who are dedicated to rescuing domestic animals who have been abandoned, abused, neglected or left behind by their former owners. We operate a state licensed small in house animal shelter located in Maine. ME lic #F871. Our belief is that animals are sentient beings who are not merely "pets" but family members and strive to find them homes who share this view. We are committed to providing them with a temporary home where they receive veterinary care,socialization, exercise, love and good nutrition until their forever home can be found. Our goal is to find successful placements so we strive to fit the breed,temperament and individual needs of the animals with their potential adopters. Animals will be kept with us for as long as it takes to find the perfect home for them. Our group does not discriminate against animals based on breed or physical disability.
All animals are vaccinated, microchipped, spayed/neutered, heartworm tested and de-wormed prior to adoption. We do home checks, reference checks and vet checks prior to adoption. We require that all family members come to meet the animal they are interested in after their application is approved. We reserve the right to turn down any applicants who do not meet our criteria or whom we feel will not be the best match for the animal. Please understand that it may take up to a week before the process is completed. The adoption donation is $450.00
