Little Mews is an all volunteer, non profit, 501(c)3, no-kill rescue organization. Established in 2005 in upstate NY, we're now located in Lenawee and Washtenaw County, Michigan. We take in cats and kittens from a variety of situations, most are stray, unwanted, neglected or abused. Our goal is to find safe, healthy, forever homes for cats and to promote spay/neuter so that the number of unwanted cats is lowered as much as possible. We assist pet owners who need help caring for their pets or need to re-home their pets. We'll try to help find the cats new homes while the cats remain with their owner as long as possible.
If you are interested in adopting a cat from Little Mews Rescue, please complete the adoption application below and click on the submit button to send. The application helps us match you up with the cat or kitten that will best fit in with you and your family. You'll be contacted by email or by phone shortly after the application is received to discuss adoption policies and answer any questions you may have. Please be patient, we often have 30 applications for one kitten! It might take more time to sort through them all. When approved, we'll set up a time when you can visit the foster home and see the cats. Many of our cats and kittens are located at the PetSmart store in Ann Arbor, Michigan. You can visit them there. Most of the cats are still in their foster home. We do ask for an adoption donation, which is used to help cover the cost of veterinary care and may vary depending on the age and special needs of the cat/kitten. We spay and neuter all older kittens and adult cats before they are adopted and that will be included in the adoption fee. Sometimes the cats listed for adoption Petfinder.com are still with their current owners. They might not have all their vaccinations or might need additional vet care.
