We are dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating and re-homing Labrador Retrievers from abandoned and/or neglected situations including high kill shelters, as well as educating the public on the importance of spaying and neutering their pets.
STEP 1. Applicants must read and agree to our Terms and Conditions and Adoption Contract Please be sure to read them thoroughly and understand them. Ask any questions you need to become comfortable. STEP 2. Complete an online application. Once we receive your adoption application request, $25 application processing fee (Our full adoption fee is $300, the balance of $275 will be paid at adoption), and all other applicable documentation, you will be notified by email. Your adoption application will take 4-5 days to process depending on how quickly we are able to make contact with your references and applicable veterinarians. Note: If you are currently living in rented accommodation we will need written approval from your landlord BEFORE processing your application. STEP 3. Schedule a home visit. One of our volunteers will contact you to schedule a home visit. The intent of this step in the process is to ensure your home meets all requirements to adopt through our rescue. Las Vegas Labrador Rescue reserves the right to refuse to adopt to any applicant. STEP 4. Request to meet an available Labrador. We bring the Labrador to your home for a meet & greet. This provides an opportunity for you as well as our rescue to see how the dog interacts in your home. STEP 5. Overnight cooling off period. Once your cooling off period is satisfied, send an email to [email protected] with your intentions to adopt or continue looking for a better fit. We will then confirm our receipt of your email and reply with our approval or concerns. STEP 6. Scheduling the adoption. We bring the dog to your home and complete adoption paperwork. We ask that all adoptions take place within 3 days.
