The Humane Society of Warren County is a non-profit animal shelter in Front Royal, Virginia. Established in 1947, we have been a safe haven to the lost, abandoned and abused pets in Warren County for over 70 years. In 2012 we achieved no-kill status, and are proud to maintain it. You can expect an inviting and welcoming atmosphere when you visit the shelter, and compassionate care for our animals. We have many community minded programs designed to educate and support our neighbors, including a free pet food bank, a low-cost spay/neuter program, and twice yearly rabies clinics at the shelter. We are a passionate group of employees, volunteers and fosters working hard to achieve a future where every pet is a wanted pet.
If you see an animal you are interested in, please submit an adoption application from our website. Once the application is approved, we will invite you out for a meet and greet. When we have animals with quite a bit of interest, we will be scheduling meet and greets with several families to see how the animal interacts with each family. This allows us to make an informed decision on the adoption. Our main priority is the animal and making sure we pair them with the appropriate family. We want them to be as comfortable as possible in their new forever homes!
