It is the Mission of the Humane Society of Charles County (HSCC) to provide shelter and care for homeless, injured and neglected animals through adoption, fostering, community partnerships, education, and affordable spay-neuter and vaccine services.
All Adult Dogs and Kittens participating in the event can be adopted for a $25 adoption fee during the event only, thanks to the sponsorship by Bissel Pet Foundation. And all of our participating adult Cats will be only $15 during the event. This is a terrific opportunity to find a new friend for your family and save a pet’s life. Our shelter is at capacity and we need to find homes for so many wonderful pets. Now is your chance to help us Empty our Shelter! To participate you must submit the special Empty the Shelter application to be approved in advance. There are no holds on specific pets because of the special adoption fees but it is worthwhile looking at the pets that will be available to see who you are most interested in. All approved applicants will be contacted by email with their next steps in the adoption process.
