HomeComings Dog Rescue is a 501c3 non-profit dog advocacy organization based in Denver, Colorado. Our goal is to work toward the no-kill solution by rescuing all breeds of dogs, providing homeless dogs with temporary care through our foster care program until we are able to adopt them into a safe and loving permanent home. We promote spaying and neutering to reduce pet overpopulation. We also promote healthy relationships between pets and their people through quality veterinary care, diet, training, patience and most of all, love. Our mission is to work toward the no-kill solution by rescuing all breeds of puppies and dogs from euthanasia in Colorado and surrounding states. We are not a shelter; our dogs stay in loving foster homes until they go home to their forever families.
If you see a dog you are interested in, you may download the “Adoption Agreement”; fill out the agreement, scan and email back to us and please bring the hard copy with you to the next adoption event. We are not a “first come, first serve” rescue when it comes to how we place our dogs. We place them on the basis of who is the best fit for the dog. We do not do "holds" on dogs because we have to meet you first before approving your application. Because we don’t typically do home visits, (with the exceptions of certain breeds) it is extremely important to us that we interview and screen all potential adopters very carefully. We will ask appropriate questions, (both on our application and in person) in order to protect our dogs. We appreciate your understanding!
