Heavenly Acres Pet Rescue is a dedicated rescue for: Unwanted dogs; Puppies abandoned at nationwide animal shelters; Breeder dogs and “unsellable” puppies rescued from puppy mills. Owner and Director, Cindy Shipp , started finding homes for unwanted and orphaned animals when she was 12 years old and has been successfully doing so ever since. In the year 2000, Cindy took into care the facility’s first wildlife rescue, a baby raccoon, and quickly realized the need for also helping orphaned wildlife whenever possible. Based in Leesburg, Florida, Heavenly Acres Pet Rescue is a non profit facility that depends entirely on most welcomed and much needed donations from the public, supplemented by monies out of our pocket in times of need. We are applying for a 501c3 status but it is our Prayer, Hope and Dream that someday there will no longer be a need for ANY animal rescue, either domestic or wildlife.
