HARTT, Inc. (Humane Animal Rescue and Trapping Team) is a volunteer-based Arizona nonprofit organization that humanely captures lost family pets, homeless dogs, and homeless cats who are severely injured. Typically, these animals cannot easily be leashed, picked up or captured through ordinary means. Bringing these animals to safety often requires extraordinary patience, specialized strategy, skill and equipment, as well as time and resources. Our volunteers do this work because we have a passion for saving at-risk animals. We work on these cases after our normal work hours, when we are not caring for our own families, and often in lieu of more “relaxing” activities. Our services are available only in Maricopa County, and Payson, Arizona at this time, based on volunteer availability. We also train and network with other humane trappers in other counties within Arizona. Because of our organization’s specialized experience, we have even consulted on cases across the United States and as far away as Canada, Singapore and Poland.
