HART is an all-volunteer organization that provides a safe refuge to hundreds of homeless cats each year. We rely on the support of individual donors to help us rescue and provide shelter for these innocent animals. As a no-kill shelter with limited space, we must carefully balance how many cats we can accept while at the same time providing the best environment for the cats that are already in our care. We maintain an average population of about 110 cats at the shelter and have a number of cats who stay with us for months or years. We also rely on local foster homes to care for some of our cats - hundreds of kittens every year as well as a small number of senior and special needs adults.
If you're thinking about adopting a cat or kitten from HART, even if you're unsure which lucky feline you would like to bring home with you, we suggest you complete an adoption application. Having a completed application on file with HART will speed up the process of taking your kitty home once your decision is made.
