Happier Tails Rescue Inc. is a 501c(3) foster-based, nonprofit, no-kill rescue located in Southern California. We are a rescue organization that saves the unwanted, abused, forgotten, abandoned, red-listed dogs in shelters and in our communities. We rescue all breeds, sizes and ages. We put animals first! Our rescue runs solely on donations from supporters, and because we are a non-profit, all donations are tax deductible. Rest assured that 100% of donations go directly to help rescue, feed, care for and save the life of a dog in need! All of our rescue animals receive high quality veterinary care, are up to date on vaccinations, are spayed & neutered and micro-chipped, before being adopted out to loving homes. Our adoption policy consists of an application, screenings, home checks and adoption contracts. Although our dogs are fostered in amazing homes, they hope to one day be adopted by you! Their wish is to have a second chance at life, happiness and love. All they need is you!
Our adoption process begins with an application, which you can find within each dog's profile. Once you have completed your application, a representative from Happier Tails will reach out to you, to inform you that your application has been chosen (this process may take up to 2 weeks). After your application is chosen, we will then proceed to a home check and additional screening. Your application will then be completed and a representative will contact you with the good news to arrange a pick up and to finalize the adoption. We offer finalizing of adoptions with digital online forms and online payment. Please Note: Adopters MUST be at least 25 years old. Due to county regulations, we cannot adopt to households who are already at their legal limit; Orange County 3 dogs, LA County 4 dogs. Adoption Fee: Our adoption fee includes spay & neuter, microchip, all vaccinations and medical records. Fees vary based on a dog's age.
