The Fort Riley Animal Shelter recently was taken over by Fort Riley MWR. We are serving Fort Riley Residents and reunite them with their lost animals and also adopt out unclaimed and Surrendered animals. We are only able to take Animals from Active Military Members, however we do adopt out to Civilians as well and also work with Rescue Groups in and out of State. Many of the animals for adoption have been found on post but not claimed by an owner. Military regulation requires that all found animals be held for 3 business days, after which time they are available for adoption.
