Faery Tails Corgi Rescue of St. Louis Inc. is an all-volunteer, 501(c)3 non-profit rescue group and we rely on donations in order to help the corgis who need us. We are licensed by the State of MO and we are registered with Guidestar -the online standard for non-profit accountability. We are devoted to providing care and placement into quality adoptive homes for displaced, neglected, and/or abused Pembroke & Cardigan Welsh Corgis, as well as other unfortunate dogs. We are committed to enhancing the human-dog relationship through education.
STEP 1: Fill out an adoption application. Return the application and a check for $5 to: Faery Tails Corgi Rescue of St. Louis Inc., P. O. Box 190816, St. Louis, Missouri 63119. You can also scan and email a copy of your filled-out application if you desire. Send it to [email protected]. We do, however, still require the paper copy of the application and the $5 application fee. If you have any problems with downloading an application and need to have one mailed to you, please send us an email at [email protected] giving us your mailing address and we will mail an application to you. This application is required of every prospective adopter, There are no exceptions. Please fill out an application even if you do not see a dog that interests you right now. We will keep your application on file and match your needs to incoming dogs as we get to know them. There have been times when we were able to match a person to a dog just based on the information you have already provided us. STEP 2: Send in your application and please be patient. We will process them in the order they are received. Please remember we are a volunteer organization – we might not be able to move as fast as we would like. STEP 3: After you have submitted and we have received your application, a volunteer will be contacting you to get to know you and discuss the dog you are interested in adopting. We can also answer any questions you may have about the adoption contract at this time. In all cases, the final placement decision is based on suitability of each dog for a particular home. Placement will not be made until the application has been approved, and the home visit completed. We reserve the right to refuse an applicant. Our contract stipulates that if, for any reason, you can’t keep your adopted friend, s/he must come back to our group! Because of this, we tend to be very thorough and particular in our adoptions. Typically we do not place our dogs in homes with very young children – although we will consider families with children who are considerate of animals. We typically place our dogs in the St. Louis and surrounding areas. We will consider placement outside of this area, unless a note appears on the particular dog’s bio. We do not ship dogs – you will have to come to St. Louis to pick up your new dog. If you have questions please contact us. Adoption donations typically varies from $175.00-$300.00 for our dogs. All of our dogs receive: rabies, DHLPP and bordetella vaccines, spay/neuter, worming, flea preventative, treatment for any known illnesses or medical conditions, microchip ID, and heartworm test/preventative.
